"War is an Ugly Thing..."

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

John Stuart Mill

War is an ugly thing. Yes, and war upon the womb qualifies. About a month ago I sent a quote to antiwar. com which said,"War doesn't make boys men, it makes men dead." I can count the justifiable wars of America on one hand: Prince Phillips War, The Revolutionary War, The War For Southern Independence. That's all I can come up with. Roosevelt's War and the greatest generation myth doesn't count. The Gulf Of Tonkin myth falls through. Our war to make Bush rich doesn't count. I can just see those highly educated cave dwellers get out of the Cessna and into the cockpict (cockpick?) of a 757, "Wow man, where's the ignition?" Who did it? We did it like we did Pearl Harbor. And now Homeland Security (Gestapo) is doing it to us.
